Shahid confirmed the news saying, “My friends brought to my notice that there is a profile of Shahid Kapoor that is active, when I haven’t even registered. This person has impersonated me and has been connecting with my fans, who don’t know that the ID is fake! My management has complained about this fake ‘Shahid Kapoor’ to authorities, let’s see what happens next!”

Hearty sympathies to all the fans who thought it was the real Shahid on Twitter!

Yash Raj’s latest film New York came as quite a surprise to Karan Johar when he saw that New York bears uncanny resemblance to his forthcoming film Qurbaan. The films are so similar that director Rensil Di Silva feels he may have to reshoot some of the sequences.

According to a source, Karan had shared the idea of Jehaad (that became Qurbaan) with Aditya quite some time ago. Meanwhile, Kabir Khan had already approached Aditya with the idea for New York. The source said, “Karan and Aditya were aware that their films will be similar. But they trusted their directors to interpret the jehaadi theme in a unique manner.”

Director Rensil D’Silva, who watched New York last week, agreed there are similarities between New York and Qurbaan but said that he will not re-shoot his film. He said, “I saw New York. But the two films have a different interpretation of the theme (of terrorism). While New York is about the aftermath of 9/11, the characters in Qurbaan have moved on. According to me, 9/11 is no more the clinching point of global terrorism. Look at what is happening to Pakistan vis-à-vis the Taliban. Global terrorism has gone much beyond 9/11. Qurbaan is more about the impact of extremism. The twin towers of the World Trade Centre were attacked in 2001. Today, the reality of terrorism has changed. Qurbaan will reflect that reality.”

Hmmm… I hope D’Silva learns something from the faulty parts of New York and hopefully doesn’t repeat them in his film!

Katrina Kaif was moved to tears while she watched ‘New York’ at a special screening at Yashraj studio. She was so impressed by the way she acted in the film that she could not believe she did it.

“It was embarrassing. This has never happened to me before. I was deeply moved by the film. And I couldn’t believe what my director Kabir Khan had achieved in my performance. I kept staring at myself. ‘That’s me!’ I exclaimed at the end of the film.”

Katrina says she connects more with her character in New York than any other role she played before, “So far all my characters have been pretty alien to me. Even the London girl in Chandigarh in Namastey London was not at all like me. But the girl in New York connects deeply with me. Or do I connect with her? It’s symbiotic, I think,” she says.

“It was a very private screening. Only members of the cast, our director, his wife and the producer were there. I’ve never been so impressed by any of my films. So far they’ve all been in the orbit of escapist entertainment. New York is my first realistic film. I’m proud of all my films. But this is new chapter in my career,” she says proudly.

It was a good performance indeed. Hats of to Kabir Khan for bring out the best in Katrina!

Bollywood’s legendary actor Dilip Kumar, has reportedly been admitted to ICU at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital in Bandra. He was diagnosed to be suffering from malaria.

Dilip Saab who was suffering from high fever since Saturday was immediately admitted by his family to facilitate proper investigation about his illness.

Now his condition is much stable and would hopefully be discharged in a few days.

Just about two films old, Anjana Sukhani is in news these days, probably because she needs some good publicity for her forthcoming film Jashnn opposite Adhayayan Suman.

It is rumored that she secretly married struggling actor Rehaan Khan who did a small role in Bhatt’s Awarapan. A source reveals,

“Anjana came with Rehaan for the party. She wants him to get into the inner circle of the Bhatt brothers, so he can benefit professionally through the association. Everyone was teasing her about pushing Rehaan and about them being close. That’s when a close friend of the actress spilled the beans on her relationship with the wannabe actor.”

The source adds, “After a few drinks, the friend revealed that Anjana actually got married to Rehaan a couple of months back in a hush-hush ceremony. Apparently, even her mother is unaware of this shaadi. The couple has been seeing each other for a few years now and had a nikaah two months back. Sukhani’s mother’s biggest issue with her daughter seeing Rehaan was his religion.”

Bollywood goes bolder and better with each film. If Kareena and Akshay could make headlines for their 10 kisses in Kambakkht Ishq, its time for Saif and Deepika to turn a few heads too. In their forthcoming film Love Aaj Kal which talks about todays and yesteryears ways of love, Saif and Deepika play a new age couple and the film required Saif to keep touching Deepika’s butt.

“Gone are the days when we had two flowers nodding on screen to depict a kiss. Today, since Saif and I are playing a couple in the movie, we have to touch and even kiss each other. Physical proximity is high and no one minds”, explained Deepika when she was asked how comfortable she was with Saif touching her butt.

Deepika, who is playing the girl of her age, feels that in this age of freedom of expression, kissing and touching, butt touching is absolutely fine and nothing to raise eyebrows upon!

As Shiney Ahuja’s fate hung in suspense till the DNA reports were due, after Shiney’s DNA samples were taken for test to check whether or not he raped his 19 yr-old maid. The DNA report is now out and it has confirmed that Shiney Ahuja indeed raped his maid.

According to reports, “Shiney’s body only bore one abrasion, that on his right hand which Police say was due to the maid’s resistance towards him when he forced himself upon her.”

Shiney will be under arrest till 2nd July and has been booked under the Indian Penal Code for raping, wrong restraint and threat to kill charges.

That puts an end to Shiney’s shiny career! What a Shame!

Katrina Kaif is considered as the most beautiful woman in the world by some. And its interesting as to what Katrina’s idea of beauty is.

She says, “Beauty for me does not mean faces, because that’s subjective. I find a face beautiful, good looking, attractive, and all the terms you want to use, once I know them. The vibes from a person physically changes the appearance of the person for me. This may sound cliched but it works for me. A technically good-looking person will have no attraction for me if I find him or her boring and dull. Beauty or attraction is more about the whole person, if you know what I mean!”

And who does Katrina find beautiful, she says, “Salma Hayek, I think, is very pretty, very natural. And although I haven’t met Madhuri Dixit in person, I find her very beautiful on screen. I also find Manisha Koirala beautiful.”

How about Aishwarya?

Abhishek Bachchan was at Farhan Akhtar’s famous talk show and Farhan asked Abhishek to reveal the three things about Aishwarya that he loves and three things that he hates.

“Actually nothing much about her bothers me, thats why I married her. The first thing I like about her is that she said ‘Yes’ to marry me. I think her nicest quality is that she is very down to earth, everyone expects her to be hoity-toity but she is not. She is a very normal lady and she is very loving. The third thing about her that I love is the way she takes care of my family. That means a lot to me because I am very particular about my parents and I care for them very deeply as any son would. My mom is Ash’s best friend and she is one the phone with Mom more than I am,” confessed Abhishek.

The thing that I dont like about her is that, “One she wakes up in the morning, she looks just as beautiful. She looks just perfect.”

And what does Aishwarya hate about Abhi

“I am very impatient and she doesn’t like that. I am not very big on details. When I ask her about her day she would tell me every single thing from where she went to what she did and what she ate. When she asks me back I just answer in one word – theek tha,” said Abhi laughing.
