Katrina Kaif is yet again sharing screen space with veteran actor Nana Patekar in her next film Rajniti opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Rumors are that her character is inspired from Congress chief Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. Bechari Katrina had to take additional lessons in Hindi and memorize long speeches for her role. She looks more like Priyanka Gandhi to me in her crisp cotton saree. I hope Nana is helping her out with her expressions – she seems too fake at times.

Looked rather odd to see Katrina walk arm in arm with Karan Johar at the GQ Men of the Year Awards nite. Now a birdie says that Karan Johar has developed a good dostana with Katrina, so much that he is now considering pairing her up with his Best friend and favorite actor Shahrukh Khan in his forthcoming project.

The KJo camp remains tight-lipped about the idea, considering Sallu and Shahrukh dont see eye to eye, it will be very difficult to have Katrina romancing Shahrukh on screen.

But that apart, do you think Katrina and Shahrukh would look good together?

John Abraham was shooting for Abbas Tyrewala’s 1800-Love  in London and, miraculously, Abbas managed to get permission to shoot on the iconic Tower Bridge across the River Thames for four nights. This is a phenomenal achievement because many big Hollywood films like  Bourne Ultimatum and National Treasure were denied permission to shoot at the same venue. A source reports that even famous chase scene of The Mummy on the Tower Bridge, was given only a night’s permission for shooting.

A source reported that, “For John and Abbas’s unit of seven cameras, the Tower Bridge and also the historical London Bridge – both of which cross the River Thames – were readily made available. The authorities even had the boat traffic on the Thames shut down for one night.”

John confirmed, “I was reminded regularly for two months that Tower Bridge would be blocked off, but that night, as the clock struck 9.30 pm, and four police bikes escorted my car on to the middle of the bridge, I was over awed! The grandeur of virtually owning one of London’s greatest landmarks – what an experience!

Rani Mukherjee has come back with a bang with all new avatar. Although her recent film bombed but she looks quite good. She has gotten over the usual sarees that she used to wear. She looks ravishing in gowns, minis, and dresses. A great looker and a great actress – now thats what I call a deadly combination!

Pati Patni aur Woh kick started on 29th September 2009 with 5 very popular couples

Apoorva and Shilpa
Gurmeet and Debina

Each couple was given a small cottage to live in and they will have to manage – cooking, cleaning and baby sitting all together without any domestic help, along with the several challenges thrown at them by the show organizers. As soon as the couples set their foot in the house they had to organize their living spaces and just before they got done with it. The couples were given Empathy Bellies. Empathy bellies are paddings that ladies have to wear to look like they are 8 months pregnant.The padding is 15 kgs heavy. The funny part was that even men had to try it on for a few minutes.

Debina made a big deal out of it with her annoying voice. Juhi and Shilpa had back problems thats why Apoorva and Sachin decided to wear it and flaunted their Pregnant Pati status well.

Rakhi as usual made silly comments while trying to act funny, she was wondering if the baby would slip out if they are reckless with their movements.

Salman Khan is unmatched when it comes to pampering his close friends with expensive gifts. We have known that Salman and Karisma have been good friends over the years, perhaps that explains his bonding with Kareena too. The two have been bonding big time on the sets of Main aur Mrs. Khanna in Melbourne.

Often Kareena would go shopping after pack up and one fine day, Salman offered to carry Bebo’s bags.

A source reported, “When pack-up was announced, Kareena would often go shopping. Once, Salman accompanied her to carry the bags! At one particular store, Bebo went on a shopping spree, picking up things for friends, family and herself.

When she went to settle the bill, she was zapped to be told her that it was already paid. Seeing Salman grinning from ear-to-ear, Kareena realised who her benefactor was. Of the things that Salman apparently ‘gifted’ her was a limited edition bag worth Rs 2. 5 lakh! She uses the bag in the film too. When asked about the incident, Kareena replied, “Salman’s generosity cannot be matched. It was a very sweet gesture on his part. He is a wonderful person at heart.”
