Sanjay leela Bhansali’s next production Chenab Gandhi, which is being director by Vibhu, had earlier signed up Hrithik clone Harman Baweja for the lead title role. Latest reports have it that the lead actor has been dropped from the project. Though the producer and the director are not yet vocal about the reasons for the firing, most industry experts are insisting that it might have to do with Harman’s spate of consistent flops and his lack of originality. Tough luck Harman!

The hunt is now on for someone to fill in his space.

Reality television’s latest toast Perfect bride, on star plus, will have its contestants essaying the roles of the leading ladies in some of bollywood’s most popular films. From Madhuri Dixit in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun to Aishwarya in Hum Dil De chuke Sanam and even Priyanka Chopra in Dostana, today’s episode is sure to take you through a nostalgic journey of the last two decades of hindi cinema as the contestants imitate the leading ladies of these films in a competition to win a date with a boy of their choice.

This is not the first time bollywood has made a tryst with the show. Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja spent an entire day with the contestants to promote their latest flick Whats your Rashee. While the film may not have been received very well, the episode which aired their appearance on the show still remains one of the highest rated episodes of the reality television drama. It is interesting to note how the divide between the big screen and the small is slowly beginning to narrow down.

In a recent interview surrounding the release of his latest box office release ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’, chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor confesses that he is a big cricket buff. And his role in DBH, where he essays the character of a cricket coach in the metropolitan, couldn’t have come at a better time in his career, just when he has embarked  on a steep upswing.

I got a call from yashraj films one fay. I was introduced to the director and the writer. I love playing cricket and they offered me the role of a cricketer. I thought it would be a good film in my career. I am a big cricket buff. I have been playing cricket ever since I was three. I played for my school. I would open the innings for them sometimes. I played cricket in college too.

I was thrilled when I was offered the role of this 28-year old guy who has to coach his dad’s team. It couldn’t have come at a better time.

That’s another love of Shahid apart from dancing and Kareena that we now know. Shahid, we would love to see you shake a leg or two at the wicket someday.

The stars of Acid Factory truly spread fire on the stage as they walked the ramp for designer Archana Kochhar. Diya Mirza, Fardeen Khan, Aftab Shivadasani and Dino Morea, dressed in blood-inspired outfits, in classic red and black chromes, sizzled on the ramp as they took their long strides on the walkway. Diya Mirza was undoutedly the show-stopper as she swam past the audiences like a wave in her fiery outfit. For the girls, they had three hot hunks to drool over!

The cast and crew of upcoming movie Aladdin celebrated the music release function in Mumbai recently. The lead cast of the movie replete with Aladdin, Genius the Genie and Jasmine were seen at the function. The movie which is inspired from the Arabian nights tale, which has been adapted for motion media in various forms previously and also has a hit animation series developed by Disney, will be twisted into a modern Adaptation for this film. Ritesh plays Aladdin’s role. Amit ji, with his deep gravity-laden voice will play Genius, the Genie, who stalks Aladdin till he fulfils three wishes of the boy. And if you are unable to recognise the lead female actor, don’t blame yourself. She is actually a Sri lankan actress and goes by the name Jacqueline Fernandes.

The movie boasts of being the biggest VFX extravaganza India has ever seen. And India surely waits with bated breath for this Eros Production.

Bachchans turned out in full strength at the GQ men of the year awards. Shweta Bachchan Nanda was also seen at the show with her family. Aishwarya Rai dressed in Gayatri Khanna gown, looked quite ordinary. Her hair also looked a little messy. Mrs. Aishwarya Bachchan could’ve looked much better. Bachchan men looked smart in their black suits. Bachchan women looked Ok!
