Failed father takes to daughter’s advice

Anil Kapoor has admitted that following his star daughter Sonam Kapoor’s advice did him a world of good recently when he did not go over the top promoting his forthcoming flick- Shortkut. The actor is stated to be in a spirit of elation since the success of Slumdog Millionaire, though he had a small role to essay in the oscar winning movie. Sonam, however, advised papa Kapoor to save the publicity and promotion parade for another rainy day- for a bigger and more spectacular production.
Anil Kapoor, who had been away from the limelight for quite some time before the success of Slumdog millionaire happened, has been desperate to be seen and covered in the news again. His desperation could be visibly seen at the oscar ceremony when he tried to attain centrestage and be the main focus of each photo frame taken on the academy award stage. Sonam, fortunately for him, has seen the light of the day with her Masakali venture and is playing guardian angel.
